Thanks to White African for introducing me to this video of Clay Shirky at Web 2.0 expo where Shirky discusses the hundreds of billions of thinkcycle-hours currently absorbed by classic consumption-only media (e.g. broadcast TV) and the ways this is increasingly redirected towards participatory-production and sharable media.
