The latest Economist special report titled Troubled Waters reviews the worrisome state of Earth's oceans and the tragedy of the commons (and worse) playing out on a global scale. The whole report's worth your time, but I want especially point out both the video-anime the Economist produced looking at the Arctic challenges... And also the excellent list of references the authors cite at the end of the report.
