Delightful to have MIT alumna entrepreneur
Sarah Bird
joining me on
MaximizingProgress.tv tonight! Her most recent venture,
SaafWater -- pronounced "Soff"-water -- saaf is a Hindi/Urdu word for "clean" or "safe" -- was all about supplying water cleansing tablets on an affordable basis in
Karachi,
Pakistan. This venture was born as a result of her time at MIT and working with
Amy Smith and colleagues at
D-Lab. Sarah's now CTO at
IRD -- Interactive Research & Development -- an organization seeking affordable health interventions in low-income communities.
