Stonehenge Reloaded ~ Simple Build Methods!

Thanks to Miss Cellania for spotting Wally Wallington's use of simple build methods to move heavy rocks and perhaps crack some of the mysteries of Stonehenge construction...

Interesting, and very ingenious but that’s how you might raise the stones. Building Stonehenge was much more than that, the planning and setting out, in other words the precision of its construction - is even more remarkable. Also notice that when Wally was moving the stones they were on flat concrete bases, not at all like soft the soft chalk of Salisbury plain.

Sarensen56 actually if u watch the whole video he talks about how he moved a 15 ton building over muddy terrain with the same method. And setiing stone with percision? Looks like he did that and more. There is noting precise about stonhendge, the shape they r placed in is not a perfect circle nor is it precise in any form.

If your going to try and down somebody elses comment and attempt to sound intelligent at least do some research. There are several "exact" measurements at stone henge. You ever wonder why thousands gather there to watch the solstice? Maybe because it happens right through a view hole created in its construction. As well as many other things such as the moon phases, the planets as they pass through our view from earth, its placement is at a center of power in regards to the earths magnetism. This guy did something great, but sarsen is right in the fact that when he figures out how to set them in place to within an inch of perfection towards some greater goal than just a big rock standing in his yard he hasnt quite got there yet. Oh yeah, and he also has about 6,000 years knowledge on his side, the folks that built stone henge had to discover these methods AND apply them sucessfully while also using exact mathmatics we assume didnt even exist for another 2,500-3,000 years after its construction. Nobody is perfect, but at least read a wiki or something before sounding completely ignorant.
