Mega-Regions ~ Economic & Innovation Hubs

A couple weeks ago, the Wall Street Journal published an OpEd piece by Professor Richard Florida, director of the Martin Prosperity Institute at Toronto's Rotman School of Management, entitled The Rise of the Mega-Region. Florida spotlights the dramatic and disporportionate importance of the 40 mega-regions powering some two-thirds of global economic output and innovative production. Fascinating stuff. Also worth looking at is Florida's earlier work seeking to understand the Creative Class and what attracts and inspires such folks.
