Vital Beirut ~ Lebanon's Resilient & Lovely Capital

Thanks to Christian Bailey for spotting these two CNN stories by Cal Perry about vital Beirut, the lovely & resilient capital city of Lebanon... Seems to me other cities nearby -- say West Rafah and Taba in Egypt, Aqaba, East Jericho, and New Pella in Jordan, and at least Tartous and Latakia in Syria -- could similarly blossom, perhaps becoming part of Sigi Atteneder's idea of a Hummus 2050 network or Saeed Arida's effort to Innovate Syria? Especially if they adopt Paul Romer's idea of Charter Cities and anchor around Stef Wertheimer's idea of Prosperity Parks.
