Seeing the
MooBella machine a couple weeks ago got me in the right frame of mind to realize that we are really at the cusp of an urban robotic innovations wavefront. ATM machines are robo-tellers. Vending machines generally are robo-retailers. MooBella is one example -- making customized ice cream mixes -- but so is the
Vigix turnkey kiosk network -- dispersing DVDs, event tickets, city guides, even mobile phones -- or the
Zoom Systems super-vend machine -- for selling iPods, consumer electronics, books, and other larger objects. And more.
