Interplast ~ Humanitarian Reconstructive Surgery

For over four decades Interplast has been providing...
"free reconstructive plastic surgery for the poor in developing countries. Interplast treats children and adults with clefts, disabling burns and hand injuries. Unlike many organizations, Interplast’s focus is to train and to empower developing world doctors to perform surgeries on their own for generations to come."
I learned more about this fantastic initiative a couple weeks ago from my Dad who befriended the Interplast founder, Dr Donald Laub and then again just now in the touching clip from The Vanishing Oath when a young doctor shares "When you find out what medicine is all about"! See here Interplast's 40 Years of Transformation retrospective...
