I first got to know Elmer when he cross-registered in our Fall 2008 Development Ventures seminar at the MIT Media Lab. He then continued to pursue his venture ideas through both a special project with Susan Murcott and via NextLab in Spring 2009 on the CiviRep team working on mobiles for citizen reporting of crimes and urban issues.
