Human Population ~ Longterm Growth 1800-2050

I'm very interested in the longterm, especially with an eye towards 2050. Interesting to note the changing time periods in which each additional billion are added to human population... (Sorry, it's very irritating, but the original higher-res graph is now lost to the aether).

I'm not sure what assumptions they're making, but any projection should factor in rising wealth. Wealthier nations grow more slowly (the U.S. being an exception due to immigration). If China, India and Brazil continue their rise, I'd expect population growth to slow.
