Korean Superlink ~ Megastructure on NatGeo!

Fascinating to read about Dutch constuction company Strukton's role in building the Busan-Geoje Fixed Link, a South Korean immersion tunnel featured on National Geographic Megastructures...
"The underwater highway of the Busan-Geoje Fixed Link is one of the deepest and longest immersion tunnels in the world, with a depth of 48 metres and a total length of 3.2 kilometres. [...] The extreme weather conditions made the construction a huge challenge for the engineers. The Busan-Geoje Fixed Link opened for traffic in December 2010, reducing the travel time from Busan to Geoje from more than 2.5 hours to just 40 minutes."
