Have Space Suit, Will Travel... Fashionably!

Popular Mechanics speculates about next generation spacesuit design by MIT Professor Dava Newman and motorcycle gearco Dainese... Dainese has done some steller stuff, including this D-air Motorcycle Racing suit with built-in Airbag! Check out the demo video...

I like the concept. Understand trial idea. The bag would have to be totally pressurized as not to fold or give under minor weigh/pressure. An anti puncture material, i.e. Kevlar, to ensure road friction would not burst.
